For some reason, I have song titles running through my mind…maybe it has to do with the reason for this post?
Live And Let Die is a song by Guns’n Roses…and Another One Bites The Dust is a song by Queen. You’re probably wondering why I’m telling you this…I’ll explain below!
First we lose TB Rants & Raves as a weekly recapper, now we’ve lost another Eric & Sookie lovin’ recapper! The title of their farewell recap is titled, “Live And Let Die” and that’s how I came up with Another One Bites The Dust…because it seems like Eric & Sookie lovin’ recappers are dropping like flies after hitting a fly-zapper!
Who is this recapper…?
We hate to break it to you…but it’s MASpencer from the Sookieverseblog!

Yes, you read that right! As we can’t post her reasons as well as she can (go read her recap), we thought we would warn you ahead of time to ease the shock, sadness and disappointment we’re sure you will feel…her last recap is just as funny as her others, but it ends on the same kind of sour note as True Blood Season 4 did.
Are you ready? Brace yourselves…

Go ahead…read MASpencer’s last hurrah here!
Thanks MAS for always keeping us entertained with your snarkily hilarious recaps! We will miss you!
Wishing you nothing but the best and good luck! (You’re going to need it!

Wow, this show is just losing everyone, but I think people will be too curious not to tune in when it comes back.
I am curious, but not so much that I want to renew HBO. I usually buy the dvds, but I won’t buy season 4, and I really wanted to. Eric is one of my top 3 favorite characters, and I was really looking forward to him having more focus this season. Oh well…
I always get the DVDs. As much as I didn’t love this season, I’ll probably still get them.
I don’t think the show has jumped the shark just yet (Though don’t get me wrong, there were things about the season I didn’t like). Series televisions shows have what are called show “bibles.” They are only accessible to the executive producer and the head writers; not the actors or their assistants or their marketing team, only the executive producer and the writers. It is how the story is to go from the pilot to the series finale. Tweaks are made along the way to it, a la Lafayette not dying, etc. in response to viewer ratings or a show not being renewed. It’s not like movies where you’ve seen the finished product after two hours. We’ve only seen four parts of this product. True, maybe it has all been quality, but they story’s not over yet. I stayed with X-Files until David Duchovny left, so I’ll hang on longer. I don’t know how the last two books are going to go either, but it’s not stopping me from buying them to find out.
I also don’t understand all these people who assume AS is ashamed to be associated with the show. If he was, he’d follow common practice in the entertainment industry and lawyer up to get out of his contract. I’m sad to see MAS go because her recaps are great, but I don’t go where the bloggers point me. I’m not done yet.
I meant to say “hasn’t” all been quality.
I’m with you Im2xshy, but I am hoping that season 5 really stays “in line” of whatever story they are going to tell. Season 4 was really a shambles of characters’ being OOC, it really made for a totally confusing and disappointing show.
I’m with most who agree that AB, should NEVER doing this type of writing again, since he finds it too hard to stay within the makeup of the characters. Its’ one thing to write original material than try and adapt to someone elses characters. He wrote a fantastic show in Six Feet Under, but, then again, it all came solely from his mind, not someone elses. Its too bad that CH was so fame(read money) hungry and sold out her SVM storyline, when she knew that AB was going to change it up so much.
I have thought long and hard and have come to the conclusion that I will give TB one more season to prove itself to me since Russells’ coming back and SN is back, we’ll see what happens and hopefully whatever love that I still have in my heart for this show will rekindle.
Omg! everyone is giving up on TB! and i understand, ’cause i think next season i will see TB but i have lost the passion for it…i don’t know is kind of when you just feel like it’s time to quit! i will see next season just for general culture in entertainment but the passion and love is absolutely gone!
