I think these rug incidents are just a coincidence, after this season I seriously think the writers and especially AB just don´t really read the book intensely enough, the show has so many plotholes and writing inconsistencies, I cannot really think that they really do the episodes with any thought behind it nowadays…
Alan Ball has abandoned the books. There isn’t a trace of book Sookie on True Blood. I love Anna Paquin as Sookie but she has been crowded out by Alan Ball’s obsession with Bill. The books are the adventures of Sookie Stackhouse and Eric. The show is all about the journey of Bill Compton.
I think the rug is probably just coincidental, but it is really cute! It’s like, a rug keeps your feet away from the cold ground? So Eric and Sookie are always hot!
I tend to agree that AB has gotten too far away from the spirit of the books, therefore, its’ all coincidental.
Eric can come and lay on my rug any day!
Sookie does have a thing for rugs come to think of it?
