10/22: Quopic of the Day

Today’s Quopic of the Day is brought to you today – by Resolve carpet cleaner! LOL

Just kidding…but it DOES have something to do with rugs! ;)

There’s something about Eric and Sookie and RUGS

Today’s Quopic of the Day for October 22nd is not one, but 3 pics! Check ’em out below!

"I got your rug all wet..."

"Not on the rug..."

Yes! On the rug...

As an added bonus – a quote from the books!

I was sitting on the rug in front of the fire. I’d just thrown in another piece of wood, and the flames were really lovely. I needed to think about something pleasant and comforting.
I saw a big bare foot out of the corner of my eye. Eric sank down to join me on the hearth rug.

~Book 4, Dead To The World

You know…I never realized until I was putting this together – just how much Eric and Sookie have this thing about rugs? Interesting…

NOW, I’m in the mood to vacuum or maybe something else? Haha!

What are your thoughts on all these scenes and rugs? What do you think this means or is it all a coincidence?

  1. I think these rug incidents are just a coincidence, after this season I seriously think the writers and especially AB just don´t really read the book intensely enough, the show has so many plotholes and writing inconsistencies, I cannot really think that they really do the episodes with any thought behind it nowadays…

  2. Alan Ball has abandoned the books. There isn’t a trace of book Sookie on True Blood. I love Anna Paquin as Sookie but she has been crowded out by Alan Ball’s obsession with Bill. The books are the adventures of Sookie Stackhouse and Eric. The show is all about the journey of Bill Compton.

  3. I think the rug is probably just coincidental, but it is really cute! It’s like, a rug keeps your feet away from the cold ground? So Eric and Sookie are always hot!

  4. I tend to agree that AB has gotten too far away from the spirit of the books, therefore, its’ all coincidental.

  5. Eric can come and lay on my rug any day!

  6. Sookie does have a thing for rugs come to think of it?
She was deflowered on a rug by William Thomas Compton.
She’s made love on a rug twice.
You ususally cuddle on a rug before a warm fire on a cold night.
She cautioned Eric not to get the rug dirty in Season 4.
And he apologized “I got your rug all wet” when he killed that were.

  7. *having fond memories of rug burn*
