She’s baaaaack!
One of our former reviewers for True Blood is back once again; reviewing The Sookie Stackhouse Companion book written by Charlaine Harris! Yay! Oh, how we’ve missed her reviews! *sighs*
The reviewer in question; is none other than TB Rants & Raves!
Here are a few highlights from her review, before you head on over there to read it!
WARNING: her review may contain spoilers for those who haven’t read it yet! Please read at your own risk!
Here are some of the highlights of what you’ll read;
I think the biggest thing that makes me believe that Sookie and Sam are not going to happen is Sookie’s inner dialogue. Harris has crafted Sookie’s character so well, over the course of this series, that the reader knows how Sookie acts in certain situations. Simply put: Sookie is a one supe woman. If she were feeling an ounce of something other than friendship for Sam, she would be feeling guilt. But there was not a hint that she felt any such thing.
No guilt = no feelings.
The next thing that stood out to me was Sookie’s reaction to the neighbor’s hostility toward Sam’s family. Sookie is deeply worried about it but she doesn’t discuss her concerns with Sam. She does discuss them with Eric.
Conclusion
As I said at the beginning, I really enjoyed the Companion. I don’t know that I would recommend it to non-hardcore fans. But for those of us that live in anticipation of the first week in May, the Companion book is a must-read.
What are you waiting for?
Go on over there and find out what else she says about The Sookie Stackhouse Companion here!
Thanks TB Rants & Raves for a great review!
I’m still debating on whether or not to read this one.
You should read it, Tammy! I think you’ll like what happens…it kind of makes things more complete and understandable, if you know what I mean?
Thanks for the link, E.
I love your new layout by the way.
You’re more than welcome!
Thanks! Love your new header over there!
Got rid of the TB stuff, did you? Haha!
Haha! Yes, I did. The new header is just a generic holder until I figure out what I want to display.
But even though I’m done with TB, I will still post TB Eric photos within my book posts. I can’t get up EVERYTHING with TB. I have to keep the best part …. which, of course, is Skars.
Oh, no…I don’t blame you for not giving up Skars!
We all enjoy a little bit of Skarsporn now and then! LOL
I don’t know, but this review made me a little more interested.
do it! for me it was like the last piece that complete the puzzle
After reading and all the reviews above, I have also decided to read this book. I’ll be putting it into my e-reader later today!
I enjoyed the short story. I loved the dialogue between Eric and Bill after each book recap. Hilarious! I liked having my memory refreshed and I like having a reference to look up specific characters when I need to. It was worth the money to me.
Sookie is not going to end up with Sam,Alcide,Quinn or Bill.
She will end up with Eric.
Sookie and Eric are each other’s “TrueSoulmates”
They were promised to each other by Naill and The Goddesses,
before Sookie was even borne.
I have the sample of this book on my pad but have been hesitant about buying it until I read the review. Thanks for sharing.
