The Dark Queen by Deborah Court

Just wanted to give you the latest update on the sequel to Deborah Court’s Eric & Sookie fanfic called, “Piece of Glass”!

First of all…check out the banner/cover of it here! –>> What do you think?

Secondly, this will be the first ever interactive Eric & Sookie story (we think)! What do we mean by this? Deborah thought it would be a great idea to have YOU decide which way the story will go! At the end of each chapter, there will be a poll question with a list of options on what happens next in the story! You will have 24 hours to cast your vote from the time chapter is posted – to make your selection! Deborah will review the results and then write the story accordingly!

Sounds exciting, interesting…etc.? We hope so!

As for when we will start posting, “The Dark Queen”…you will have to follow us on our Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr pages or subscribe to us on here!  But we promise you…it will be soon!

What will the story be about? Here is the summary Deborah sent us!

Eric and Sookie fly back from Öland because there was a gruesome ritual murder at Fangtasia. Eric decides to investigate the murder, which leads him to New Orleans where similar murders have happened. When he vanishes without a trace, Sookie follows him, getting involved in the dark voodoo scene. Marie Laveau, the voodoo queen of New Orleans, has risen from the dead and wants to regain her powers … maybe kidnapping a particularly old and strong vampire could help her cause, and eating his heart would help even more? Maybe she even voodoo’s him into being a dark sorcerer at her side…?

We can’t wait to begin posting this story! It promises to be just as entertaining as its’ predecessor!

What do you think about this idea? Share your thoughts below!

  1. Deborah:
Love the Cover!!! Love how you’re connecting True Blood with the film
“Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil” one of my favourite films
Marie Laveau, would call upon her late husband Dr.Buzzard.
She would pay a visit to the coloured cemetary and she’d use the first
part of the hour for doing good and the second for doing evil.
She would ask Dr.Buzzard’s help in regaining her powers.
She would need the help of a medium,LaFayette Reynold’s would be
a good choice,as he is also had dealing with Eric Northman.
I think her spirit will find LaFayette and she would posess him………….

  2. “Maybe she even voodoo’s him into being a dark sorcerer at her side, like when he was bewitched by Marnie …”

Good thing Eric has his own fairy princess to rescue him. Awwww. Though his fairy princess does have a bit of a bite and some snark to her. Just the way he likes her.

  3. Oh Yeah!!! This sounds like another great story coming up from Deborah!!! Can’t wait til we get the first chapter. I love the idea of making it “interactive” too. Gives all of us a chance to help with the ideas for the storyline.

I bet Deborahs’ story will put the witches in season 4 in TB to shame!!! I do like the idea that Marlene came up with that Laffy should be involved as his “medium self”. This story is going to kick butt………………Bring it on!!!!!!

  4. First off the cover is incredible, loving it. Story sounds really interesting and the interactive part something unique. Deborah is so talented.

  5. Hmm, interesting, all I know of Marie Laveau is what I got from the Night Huntress series. She’s not someone to mess with.

  6. OMG!! Yeah… Cant wait so excited <3

THE COVER TSELF IS AMAZING GORGEOUS , STUNNING THANK YOU SO MUCH . YOU ARE THE BEST ……… I LOVE ERIC AND SOOKIE TOGETHER WORKING TOGETHER EVEN BETTER

  8. Exciting concept! I love the idea of an interactive story. I was in a play once called “The Mystery of Edwin Drood” where the audience voted on the ending. We did not know how the vote was going to go so we had to be prepared for any of four endings! That was part of the fun :)

  9. Thanks for all your comments, I can’t wait to begin with this story and see where it will lead us to! The first chapter will be up soon ;-)

The character of Marie Laveau has always fascinated me. It’s funny, I heard about her for the first time in the (very well-researched) 80s computer game, Gabriel Knight – Sins of the Fathers, and started to read more about her and voodoo. The movies and books you mentioned are also among my favorites, and, of course, “Angel Heart” with Mickey Rourke.

A big thank you to Erika *hug*, she made that AMAZING cover (with my fav Eric in the light blue sweater)! Girl is so multi-talented and creative, and a pleasure to work with. She didn’t only come up with one, but THREE different covers for my new story! Maybe she’ll show you the other two, as well. Without her entertaining introductions and art, my chapters wouldn’t be half as fun to read. I hope you’ve all checked out her private blog with all her great fanfic and artwork. If not, you find her site here: http://iamerika100.wordpress.com/

    Until soon,
    xoxoxo
    Deborah
    *hugs*
