Please be aware…this is mere speculation at this point, until we’ve heard the official word from HBO. Last year we didn’t hear about the start date for True Blood Season 4 until April Fool’s Day…so be prepared to be ‘fooled’ again this year!
But we thought we’d post this anyways and see what you think!

ACN is the fictional cable news channel at the heart of Aaron Sorkin‘s upcoming HBO drama “The Newsroom,” slated to debut this Summer.
A source close to the show tells TVNewser that HBO is leaning towards launching the series on Sunday, June 24th, most likely after the season premiere of vampire drama “True Blood.”
This makes sense if you watched last year. True Blood premiered after Game of Thrones ended. In fact, our countdown clock is set to that date – for now. But don’t worry…we’ll keep you updated once we receive official word!

Sounds logical as you said… the waiting is Hell… AGAIN! LOL Can hardly wait to see out new Eric unveiled… in all his considerable HOTness! LOL
not even him is enough to make me interest in the show again, they ruined too much in sason 4, how can someone even be still optimistic, so sick of threesome dreams and bill constantly gets shoved down our throats. And the show has become too cheesy.
I still hope the date is June 24 th cause i am having Trueblood withdrawal … The waiting is hell . I miss it so much and viking Eric
As far as I know Season 5 will be debuting on JUNE 24th.
This is the final Sunday in JUNE.
The next Sunday after that is July 1st.
TrueBlood has always debuted in June except for the
First Season which debuted on October 8,2008.
It doesn’t really matter, we know it’s always in June. I don’t care about what day as I have very little interest in actually watching.
I’ll skip this season since there will be no eric/sookie relationship. I would rather be reading Dead Locked.

Me too EHS – Even though I am still furious with S4 TB, I’ll be watching for Eric, Pam, Jason, lala and terry. No doubt I’ll be grinding my teeth through Bills scenes not the least because he’ll be in most of Eric’s scenes by the sound of their plot arc. Lets hope for lots of great snark and put downs from Eric. That will make me happy

No, seriously, when Eric and Beehl accepted Marnie’s offer to kill themselves in exange for Sookie’s freedom and all that Sookie (or doormat with low self esteem) had to say about that was: Bill, you can’t….. from that moment on i hate her and everyone in charge of that stupid scene that made no fuc**** sence!!!!!
So i really don’t care when is TB coming back, sometimes i wish never, but than again there’s Eric, but than AGAIN why would i wanna watch him being humiliated from that troll, it’s better for him to have a chance to do better and bigger things in his career than constantly being underrated in this stupid show!

you said it perfectly, you just brought up all the problems people have with the show now…it just sucks how much they failed to deliver in season 4…and sookie is really just a doormat, I like book sookie, but TB sookie was written like a doormat who is obsessed with bill, what books have they read? I can’t remember sookie being that obsessed with bill in the books, she is more into eric, but of course its the paquin moyer show…

Since we’re talking about these things,i’ve stumbled across a few things and had the need to share it because i forgot to mention ‘em as reasons why i feel the way a feel about TB. I just can’t get past some things, what AB has taken away from Eric’s character to make Beehl look better… It’s outrageous! Some of the things that neither happened nor ever will happen on the show-
*Eric marries Sookie (the vamp way)
*Sookie is able to read a couple of times Eric’s mind and he’s the only vampire to whom she can do that
*They make a whole Blood Bond, and she can feel Eric’s emotions and track him too
*A hotel where the whole Sophie-Anne court is staying is bombed at daylight, and Sook rushes to save Eric and Pam with barely a sparing thought for Bill
*Eric stakes Longshadow to save Sookie
*Eric heals Sookie from the Maenad
* Eric helps Sookie at Russell’s when she’s staked and heals her. She even lets him glamour her, she opens her mind to Eric to let him glamour away the pain, she trusts him so much
* Eric saves Sookie from Debbie’s shot and from the witch.
*Eric kills Marnie.
* Godric isn’t Eric’s maker, so he sends Sookie to Dallas because Dallas asks for her, as a job. And he goes with her undercover for aditional protection. (though i love Godric)
*Bill goes to Lorena because he wants to be with her, and he plans to pension Sookie off and place her under Eric’s protection.
*Even Bill says that Eric wants to mainstream, so he never tortures LaLa in the basement.
The Ratts beating wasn’t even mentioned once in season 4, yet we have to endlessly hear about all the “horrible” things Eric’s done…
This scene might as well be a product of our imagination, ’cause it had no impact on the show!

I could probably go down your list and say, ‘check’, ‘check’, ‘check’…yep, none of those things will happen, unfortunately.
But I do hope that they will show the Rhodes bombing at least.
I think that’s something right up AB’s alley with mixing violence and explosions. But I don’t think Sookie will be trying to save Eric and Pam. Probably with our luck, she will be saving Beehl….PUKE. 
And Sookie forgetting the Rattray reveal was due to lack of continuity. I think the writers went with Sookie to Faerie too!
His blood makes her even more stupid apparently, I still don’t know what the hell she needed his forgiveness for.
