9. Bill Compton, ‘True Blood’
Prior to season 4, I would’ve definitely chosen Tara for this spot instead. But she grew on me during the fourth season, and I’d be sad to see her go at this point. Bill, on the other hand, did get some bonus points from me for his new role as the King of Louisiana, but I’m still over him. Team Eric all the way.
Also, important note: I would love to get rid of Sookie on occasion, but she’s such an integral part of the show that it’s really not even worth contemplating her demise.

Don’t kill Bill, he is awesome on tv and in the books, but I think Allan should read the books again, & give him Julia?> the other vampire Loreen created, who looks like Bills human wife, so that Eric and Sookie become one again…
I’m sorry, but what has he ever done that was awesome? He’s just a waste of space and if he meets the true death any time soon, I won’t cry over it. And let’s face it, Alan has never read the books.
I think you mean Judith. Obviously Bill was not that fond of his human wife since he keeps saying Sookie is the love of his life so he was not that interested in Judith maybe because she did resemble his human wife.
sorry, how can you say that, he is the main reason why TB got ruined, Bills constant favorism of Bill has ruined everything, sookie has to suffer from this, even Pam and Eric probably the most, bill gets more screen time, he is involved in every single eric sookie scene, its disgusting, how can you enjoy that, really don’t get it…
it will do us all justice if Queen Beel character be killed off Maybe then Eric/Sookie can be one together .
He should have been put in the number one spot.
TB Bill definitely needs to be killed off. Maybe if he died TB Sookie’s brain would regrow and she’d become tolerable again.
I’m very surprised Tara’s not on the list.
I disagree with them about Hillary from Fresh Prince, Lisa from Saved by the Bell (How could you want to kill off any character from Saved by the Bell…..no! It’s just wrong! Saved by the Bell in all it’s cheestastic glory is sacred to me! lol), and Bernadette from Big Bang Theory (she’s not Amy Farrah Fowler, but she’s still good for some laughs).
But I am totally down with killing Compton! ;D I know it will never happen, but hmmm, a girl can dream!
Right? Saved By the Bell and Fresh Prince are a big part of my childhood. That’s just wrong.
The reality is that the problem with Bill is how Alan Ball is portraying him. SVM Bill is completely different, and plays a role in Sookie’s life long after their relationship ENDS after Club Dead.. But, if we take Bill just in the context of True Blood, I can understand why he made the list. And it’s a compliment to the actor Stephen Moyer that he arouses such strong emotions about his character.
I am very much Team Eric. But I don’t want Bill killed off. It was sad to me when he almost died in Dead and Gone (book 9).
In the books I don’t want him to die either, I mean it’s not like I wouldlose any sleep if he did (and it actually was supposed to happen in book 9 before CH was persuaded to keep him) but then again, Book Bill doesn’t particularly bother me. He’s just there, he played his part and that’s it.
TB Bill, on the other hand, I can’t even see his face without wanting to punch it.
And its not even his character per se that I hate, in fact before season 4 I just found him mildly irritating and unlikable… what I truly despise is the way the need to keep him central is mesing up the whole show and suffocating the growth of every character around him. And I think this is the reason a lot of people have a problem with Bill.
Sorry, but it would’nt hurt my feelings to see him go. I only wish that Alan would have kept true to the books. I understand changing things up a bit, but GEEZ….their personalities and relationship dynamics need to stay in tact to preserve the very essence of the books. Sad to say, this will be my last season if there aren’t someserious changes. Alan needs to pass the torch to someone who isn’t in love with Bill.
yeah, the sad thing is that it’s already too late now… so much went completely wrong last season that it would be impossible to really get things back on track.
And it’s not gonna happen anyway. I just hope the Russell storyline will be at least somewhat enjoyable, but I’m not even sure about that anymore…
