True Blood‘s new writer Angela Robinson, will be writing episodes 5 and 11 in season 5, and was interviewed by Gianna Sobol over at the Inside True Blood Blog. In this interview, she reveals which characters she loves writing for the most, and calls us rabids!

Gianna: Were you a fan of the show before you joined the team?
Angela: I was! Although, I wasn’t up to date.
Gianna: What’s it been like joining a show already in its 5th season?
Angela: It’s been really fun and exciting. Alan is awesome to work with and the other writers have been very welcoming and are insanely talented. I’m in prep for my first episode now, so I am just now meeting the cast and crew.
Gianna: Which episodes are you writing?
Angela: I will be writing episodes 505 and 511.
Gianna: Who’s your favorite character to write for and why?
Angela: I’ve only written one episode — but so far, I really like writing for Sookie, I enjoy her struggle to retain a sense of normalcy in her increasingly dangerous life. And I like writing Jessica, I think the dichotomy between her natural goodness and the dark side of her vampireness is fun to explore.
Gianna: Any fun hints you can drop about the coming season?
Angela: I am terrified to utter a peep because there are so many rabid fans out there, so I am going to remain mum on that. Suffice to say it will be awesome.

If she really likes writing for Sookie…then I hope she turns back into the strong, capable Sookie, we know and love! Similar to how the character is in the books, would be nice.
Notice she called us, rabid fans? Is she referring to Eric lovers, Bill lovers or everyone in general? We have been known to be called, rabids before, but then again – most True Blood fans are very passionate, so they could be called this too.

well the writers shouldn’t be surprised if the show has lots of rabid fans now, they constanatly fuck up everything, so its justified that so many people are angry with the bad writing and all the plotholes and also the Bill glorifiying.
and she didn’t even really know the show so well, so how can she really “get” sookie? Not even surprised anymore that the show has so much inconsistent writing, it always looks like the writers have no idea of what they are doing and they also don’t seem to communicate a lot with each other, every writer seems to perceive certain characters differently and thats why there are too many out of character moments on the show. season 4 was the best evidence for that, and the definitely lost it in the last few episodes, it was just a big mess at the end…
Well this one rabid fan is just one of the so many that passionately watch the show which is why she still has a job writing- so she should do it well and never ever disregard the opinion of rabid fans. Very simple equation, more rabid fans = more TB series.
i just hope for Eric / Sookie get some scenes together more . But i wish her the best and welcome aboard such a great show
I hope she reads our blogs. And I hope she didn’t get infected with the “love bill” disease, because It’s been around for 4 seasons.

I think C is an important part of the mix. it tells things that
Charlaine Harris doesn’t in her stories or that Alan Ball’s left out.
I’m also sick of Alan’s pairing of Sookie & Bill!!!!!!

i welcome the new writer…yes some of the episodes have been far off but i still have enjoyed everyone. I do like eric but i still like to see Bill and sookie 2gether again..everyone makes mistakes and deserves a 2nd chance.

sorry, but wth, what bill has done is unforgivable and you should already have realized that you are posting on an eric and sookie fansite, and especially when you have read the books, which I doubt you have, you would never ever want sookie with that guy, but it seems you got just brainwashed with ABs Bill obsession, bill always gets shoved down our throats and it looks like you just eat up all the crap…meh…

No…Sookie shouldn’t and would never ever forgive Bill… She doesn’t hate him and would help him if he was in trouble.. But that’s just how Sookie is! She has self esteem and she does not forgive betrayal!
Except she did forgive him on the show, something I will truly never understand. Still, if she actually gives him another chance, there is no hope for her.
