In my first post in the 2012 Fang-A-Thon, I thought what would make a better post to start this off with than a post about what I wish for in Dead Ever After? It goes without saying, I want Eric and Sookie to end up together in the end…but what about those who I want to see dead?
You know someone is going to die in the last and final book…but who, how, and why are the most important questions.
These are my picks and the reasons why they should die or the reasons why I want them to die. I’ve also kindly included how I want them to die. (As you can imagine…this post has been very therapeutic for me. LOL)
In no particular order…
1. Freyda – Queen of Oklahoma
It goes without saying…this bitch needs to die! We only met her once and I already want her dead. Somehow I think Sookie feels the same way about her too. The nerve of this Queen – trying to steal Sookie’s man! Who does she think she is? I don’t care why she wants Eric. He belongs to Sookie and nobody else! I don’t care about the marriage arrangement Appius made. He’s now dead, so what does he have to gain from all of this? All I see…is some woman coming after Eric because she’s too weak to stand up for herself. Eric likes stronger women like Sookie. I see Sookie feeling the same way as me. Never mind the fact, she showed up on Sookie’s doorstep, uninvited and under ulterior motives. Sookie must really scare her, if she wants to know everything about who Eric loves. I smell victory from here!
How she will die: In a move to fight for Eric, after a lot of angst and heartbreak, Sookie will drive a wooden stake right through her greedy, man-stealing heart! Freyda will finally realize that all she’s heard about Sookie is true. Unfortunately for Freyda (but not for us), it will be a little bit too late.
2. Felipe De Castro – King of Nevada
Freyda can’t be blamed for everything…oh no. Thanks to Felipe’s own greed, he wants the kingdom of Oklahoma. Who cares if he owes Sookie a favor? He still hasn’t paid her back, has he? My hate for him also started when Eric tried to reach out to him, to inform him about what Victor was up to in the state of Louisiana…but did he care? No, he ignored Eric. No wonder Eric and Sookie had to take matters into their own hands. In DL, Eric had to ‘place nice’ and act the perfect host for Felipe and the people he brought along with him. These same people had no respect for Eric’s belongings and ended up trashing the house. Sure, sure…Felipe got his hands dirty when they tried to repair the house, and that’s impressive for someone with his status, but the damage was done. Eric’s table is still ruined. How much wealth does he really need? Doesn’t he own Vegas? I’m sure he makes a killing off all the gamblers who lose all of their money on his gaming tables. Felipe deserves a long and painful death, for taking over Louisiana and the rest of the country, and allowing his greedy nature to overrule honor.
How Felipe will kick the bucket: I’m hoping somehow Eric is strong enough to kill Felipe himself. I hope Eric ties him up with silver chains and leaves him out in the sun to burn.
3. Bill Compton
I’m sure many of you will agree with me…it’s time for Bill to go. Charlaine wanted to kill him off in book 9, but changed her mind. Since then, he’s been trying to redeem himself in Sookie’s eyes, but it’s too late for them. She’s already moved on. His stalkerish tendencies give many of us the creeps. I don’t really need to get into details about why he needs to die. I’m sure all of you will agree with me. If he really does die in the book, it will probably be heroically (PUKE. GAG.), because you know his ten fans will protest otherwise. (rollseyes) Needless to say, if I had a neighbor like Bill, who creeped by my house late at night spying on me, etc…I would call the police. But since he’s a vampire and the police are no match for him, I’ll take his absence any way I can get it. Besides, how many times does Sookie have to tell him ‘no’? GIVE IT UP ALREADY AND GTFO.
How I hope Bill will meet his maker (in hell): Please God, is it too much to ask for him to die because it’s apparent that he’s even worse than we already know in the books? How about something as sinister as on the show? I don’t really care who, how, or why Bill dies…just as long as he’s gone, gone, gone. Amen.
4. Alcide Herveaux
Yes, even Alcide made my list. I’m sick and tired of him using Sookie and dragging her into wolfpack business. It proves how much of a leader he is. His pack would be better off without him. In a way, he’s been the one who has created most of Sookie’s problems. I’m sick of him. I’m sick of how he keeps thinking he has a connection with Sookie, even though he really doesn’t. He listens to really stupid advice and thinks Sookie will drop everything when he howls. GIVE IT UP ALREADY. She’s just not into you, Alcide!
How this wolf won’t find himself howling at the moon anymore: I hope someone – anyone challenges him for pack leader and he loses. Even better if it’s a woman…since he’s so great at choosing them. (rollseyes) But, knowing Alcide – he’ll find himself another ‘Debbie’ – who won’t put up with his shit. This time, he won’t be so lucky. Instead of the woman going after Sookie (like so many have done in the past)…she’ll head right for his balls and will neuter him, once and for all in front of his pack to boot!
I guess I could only come up with four characters…which is somewhat amazing! LOL But these are my picks…feel free to agree, disagree or come up with some more to be added to this list!
In case anyone thinks I’m really serious about this…I’ve written this post very tongue-in-cheek and this was for amusement and speculation purposes only.
…and get a life, if you’re somehow offended by it.

I love this! I most definitely agree with you about everyone on the list. Although, if Quinn were still in the books I would add him to the list too. He just always irritated me! This was the best post I’ve read all day!

Yeah, I was thinking of adding Quinn to the list too…but from the sounds of it, he’s out of the series now. I don’t think he’ll be in DEA. But who knows? Now…how should he die…? LOL
I love this! I most definitely agree with all of this. Although, if Quinn was still in the books I’d add him to the list too. He always irritated me, with his stupid violet eyes! This was the best post I’ve read all day!

Now I find this very interesting. Who’s going to be left standing at the end of Book 13?
Sookie is a given. Next comes Eric Northman, followed by Sam Merlotte, Jason,
Terry & Arlene. Who won’t be around to see the light of day,Bill will meet
his Final Death, at the hands of the Authority for treason & for killing Nan
and Queen Sophie Anne. Felipe will also meet his Final Death.
The above is all speculation as I’ve not yet read Book 12 yet.
Freyda definitely – no one tries to steal Sookie’s viking! I’m hoping Sookie well and truly stakes her.
And if I only had one more it would have to be Stalker Bill. No more lurking in the shadowy woods please – just be dead and gone like you should have been already!
i think its truly a possibilty.. she (freyda) did list all the people Sooke “accidently” (sookies word) killed… whats one more brunette female vamp!
i hope to god the queen gets it followed by bill then the king then that damned wolf and then quinn sookie needs eric and eric needs her please miss harris kill off bill and all those who have hurt sookie who her and eric’s sake

he’s in love with Sookie,he’s got a major crush but knows
that Sookie belongs with Eric. So I see them as being
good friends but not as lovers. And he’ll still be alive
at the end of the Series/books.
Alcide is not a man, he’s a wolf and he’s not weak he’s tortured!
The only way Alcide is tortured is being in love with Sookie.
he really wanted to stay with Debbie,but she made it very hard.
Debbie had a wandering eye,she wanted a mate who had alot
of money,who was rich and who was exciting.
In Debbie’s mind Alcide was boring.
Now marcus & Cooter were “Hot”

He’s betrayed her twice,he’s still telling lies and

And Bill is the one who’s put Sookie in harm’s

about her getting beaten up by the rattray’s.
Alcide has always tried to keep Sookie safe
And he did it for Eric.

If you’re a watcher of the show from Season 1 then you know
how Bill’s lied to her time and again.
I’m still screaming from the ending of Season 4 when she
told Eric “But I still love bill,and when I zapped you and you
got your memory back I couldn’t see a world without him”

thats my point! the only reson anna P was hired in the first place was so she could have alan ball’s ear and i have seen seasons 1 2 and 3 i am miffed that bill got away with nearly draining sookie in season 3
I don’t know if Anna was hired to “have Alan’s ear” and it just happened that she & Stephen found real true love and became a
real life couple~but when it did Alan saw an oppurnitity to mine
their relationship and make them “appear as soul mates in the Show”
Which they’re not in my book, the one for Sookie is Eric.
Not her real life husband,his character doesn’t deserve Sookie.

Debbie was jealous of Sookie.
Debbie was what I’d call “An anybody’s” she ran around with
any guy/wolf looking for excitement, but never found it.
She also wanted to be a mom, but Alcide changed his mind
due to her running around~so she went looking for love.
And Alcide wanted a mate who was faithful to him alone.
And he’d never have that with Debbie Pelt.
I just keep thinking that he got back with his bat crazy ex who had it in for Sookie from day one.

If you read Book 3 then you know she’s dead & buried behind
Sookie’s house~ but she just died on the show at the end of
Season 4~ Season 5 begins with her burial .

Since this post was about the books, I will keep my remarks to the books. I am hoping that Bill Compton finally meets his true death as it was planned by Charlaine Harris in book 10. Bill was poisoned by the silver teeth of the fairies and was supposed to die but CH signed a deal for three additional books hence Bill lived on. Its time for stalker Bill to meet the sun.
While I passionately loved Eric and Sookie together, I can’t fault QofOK for wanting Eric by her side in Oklahoma. She obviously knows a good thing when she see it. Its too bad Sookie hasn’t fully realized that yet. But I am hoping that Sookie finally fights for her vampire. If Fredya does finally order Eric to Oklahoma, then she deserves to die and at the hands of Sookie. Sookie needs to stand up for her husband and soon. I envision a smack down at her house between Sookie and the Queen.
Felippe de Castro is a masterful vampire and apparently is working some sort of deal between himself and the Queen of Oklahoma. Depending on what he is up to, then I would agree Felippe’s time has come. Part of me thinks, that perhaps if the Queen were to die that somehow it might be to Eric’s and Sookie’s advantage for Felippe to live. He is powerful and could help by appointing Eric a regent of LA. Felippe is going to need some help in running his empire of states.
Alcide and Quinn, shrugs on both of them. Neither will be in Dead Ever After and have never been part of the final equation in my mind. As a matter of fact, CH has declared that Quinn will be in her new series, Midnight Pawn.

I agree with you there’s going to be a catfight over Eric Northman.
This time the combatants will be Sookie & Q of OK.
Who will win? The winner is which woman wants him more.
Hopefully Sookie will wake up to realize that she really loves Eric
with a former suitor out of the way permentally~Forever.
Can see Eric as Regent, and Pamela as Queen of LA.

Just a thought might be that Pam will be Sheriff of Area 5, Eric will be regent of LA and Felippe will live to be the King of Nevada, LA and OK.
Felippe will need a good right hand vampire to help him rule. Another scenario, might be that Eric will work with the Queen to rid LA and Nevada of Felippe with Eric’s help, in return, Eric will be released and become Regent and be able to stay with Sookie.
Its whoever can strike the best deal with Eric, that Eric will fight for. Eric is self serving and he knows his worth to the Kings and Queens. He is not interested in becoming King but the regent position would give him some freedom that he relishes. And Eric is able to stay near Sookie, I think that would work for everyone.
I don’t think Sookie and Eric will have the typical HEA. Both Sookie and Eric enjoy their private parts of their lives but they also enjoy being together. I don’t think they have to be together 24/7 in order to be happy.
It may not be a typical HEA~ but I know that Sookie will not stand for

I’m pretty sure the blood bond was broken in Dead Reckoning. Sookie could feel it. Eric could feel it happen. He called her, remember? He wanted to know if she was alright. Besides, in Deadlocked, they made it clear that it doesn’t matter if Eric and Sookie are married or not. Unless Eric and Sookie find a way out of it (that hasn’t been revealed yet), Eric is bound by the promise of his maker to marry Freyda.
Fanfiction is purely the imagination of the author, NOT the real story. Charlaine’s books are the bible of the series. “Late” is NOT really the true story. It’s only Morgaine’s imagination, just like every other fanfiction out there is. I wouldn’t go by what she writes as “truth”.
That is only in fan-fiction Marlene that Eric has fae heritage, not in Charlaine Harris’s book series. Please refrain from mixing up fan-fiction plots with the actual SSN plots.
I’m sooo pissed at the ending. It just shows where this HEA is headed. thanks to sam’s “death” it proves that sookie can’t live without him. After reviving sam she didn’t care about finding eric or calling him. WTF!!!

I agree with Oklahoma and Nevada 1000%! If Bill is to meet the true death I think I would prefer it at Sookie’s hand and because they both know it has to be done. I am sooo Team Eric beyond a shadow of a doubt. I was a Bill fan in the beginning and am still by more the True Blood Sookie version of not being able to picture him not there in her life somehow but if he starts to be written on True Blood more like the book version then he sooo needs to go now I lost all interest in any part of Bill half way thru book 2.
Honestly I don’t think any of the above matters……Sookie is going to end up with Sam at the end of the books. We know Mrs.Harris is not turning her into a vamp….and there is not magical way that Eric would turn into a human….nor would he be happy about being human. She used the magic to save Sam….she loves him, but doesn’t really know that she is in love with him…yet..Eric is going to leave with Freyda, because he wants the power….I’m sure he feels that Sookie doesn’t love him like he loves her. She used the last magic to save Sam…not their relationship. Alcide, Bill, and Quinn….totally out of the picture.
sookie seems to want children so she will need to remember that when making her choice.
Whether she wants them or not, she’s smart enough to know her life is too risky to bring kids into it. Won’t much matter who she ends up with, she’ll always be a target.

Again, this is about the books, not the show. Besides, I don’t know how writing her pregnancy into it would have worked out, or been good for anyone. It’s not like the kid would have been Eric’s.
i love this list…but though i am not a Bill fan stil I want him to hang around and watch sookie n eric happy together ever after….tht would serve him right….
I agree with most of your post, but I must admit, I like Bill. Sure, he has been an ass (like most of the vampires) but has been there for her in a pinch. Let’m live…..

I liked Bill when he first came onto the scene~but things changed in Seasons 2/3.
And by Season 4 I was wanting his Final Death.
And Season 5 put the nail in his coffin.
