For my fangalicious (Day 22) Fang-A-Thon post, we have some more News From The Casting Couch! This time it’s a casting call for the last episode of True Blood Season 5!
There has been a new casting call issued, and probably the most interesting part of this casting call is…we now know the name of the title for this episode and we know who will be writing and directing it!

This shouldn’t come as a shock to some of you, but it looks like Alan Ball will be writing the season 5 final episode. I’m going to go out on a limb by saying that he will more than likely want to go out with a bang. Expect this episode to either have a major cliffhanger or something intensely shocking happen during it. There will probably be a few moments when you will literally gasp in shock, disgust or in awe. I’m not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing for us, but we’ll have to wait and see.
At this point, we can only imagine what it’s going to be about. As for the episode title, “Save Yourself”…there are many possibilities which comes to mind when trying to figure out what’s going to happen at the end of the season. It’s too soon to tell, but I definitely think someone is going to attempt to sacrifice themselves for either someone they care about or for the greater good for whatever cause they are in pursuit of.
Who, where, what, why and how; is all merely speculation at this point.

i hope that bill is going to get whats coming to him i wonder if he would save his own worthless hide to keep sookie safe or does it mean eric will have one final bust up with Russel?
I was wondering those two as well Mark. Since the faires are coming into this season more I was wondering if Bill maybe gets the silvering he did in the book saving Sookie. Might be to early for that storyline to come out but the way Alan does things who knows. I’d love Viking Eric to destroy Russell permanently!
Well no shock that AB is writing the last eppy. Since hes’ leaving the show as frontrunner. I just hope that he doesn’t eff up the ending too badly.
The title to me, kinda could mean that Eric gets damn tired of his “Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid” relationship with Bill and goes his own way to rectify whatever is happening (ie Russell or the Authority, maybe??). Hence, the “Save Yourself” title.
Alan Ball doesn’t know anything about writing a good cliffhanger, they’ve all been kind of lame in the past.
Probably another cliffhanger just in case they will be a season 6 . i am not impressed right now . i will wait this one out . Love Eric /Pam so bring it on . I hope Russell stick around i love him since 3rd season .
Very worried that just as a final kiss off to the fans he may off Eric. I don’t think that AB has liked the fact that no matter how he builds up Bill everyone still likes Eric and Eric/Sookie together. Since people seem worried/doubtful about a Season 6 AB could just say F— it and do the unthinkable. If he does that will definately be the end of TB for me. The show could not recover from such a blow and I would hope that CH would finally come out and acknowledge what an idiot he really is.
He may be stepping down as showrunner, but he would still be involved. That would be the ultimate slap in the face for book fans, I have to think he can’t possibly be that stupid, but you never know with him. He’s already delusional as it is, nothing would surprise me at this point.
It would be the end of me watching as well- hope he is not that stupid – Eric/Pam are the only reason I keep watching – my hope in E/S is rapidly fading ..
In a perverse way I wouldn’t even mind. that would stop me from watching this thing..I am finding it difficult already when I saw what they are doing to Eric’s character ..and not to talk about Sookie in S5 promos
bw, Couldn’t happen. From what I’ve read since the beginning of the show is that the principle characters (Sookie, Bill and Eric) all three actors had signed 7 year contracts for the show (if it should run that long). So that would be highly unlikely to happen.
I think alex has only signed for 6 seasons; I think think alex want to do other things then and who can blame him; hop th ratings will drop than drastically, no onee would watch the show without eric, yes alan ball no one watches the show for Beehl… maybe thats why they are hyping up Joe M. so much at the moment, they want to sell the guy as the new “big thing” and he is like everywhere in the media atm with his muscles, really annoying have to say…
I know AB is delusional but he would destroy TB totally if Eric was ever killed ….the ratings dive would ruin the show …..AB Bill love have messed the show enough but its about ratings in the end so I doubt even he would be that stupid….hopefully Eric will save Sookie by killing Russell.
What ever it is it won’t be good for us Eric and Sookie lovers!

I hope He kills out his most beloved Billy boy instead after he left. If he kill Eric,it would be ends show.
This’s worry I remembered Gay Al says “Somebody will become a game changer, 1 of main characters will go personal transformation in the last ep”. I HOPE NOT GAY AL’S MAKING ERIC AS MAIN VILLAIN NEXT SEASON TO JOIN THAT SERCET ORGANIZATION WHO NORA WORKED AFTER NORA DIED!!!!! I F**KING HATE HIM IF HE DID THAT!!!!
Or maybe He’s going to make Eric human in the last ep,he gives Alex a 50/50 chance if he decides to want to do season 7 & want to be a vamp like They did w/ Tara. If he want Eric dies as human,I hope the show gets cancel after season 6,not season 5.
