Truebies and Gents, its time to place your bets!
We here at Eric and Sookie Lovers are nothing if not competitive and wanted to find a way to up the ante while watching this season of True Blood. And thus, a challenge was issued to see who is the best at predicting the future… for like Sookie, we aren’t psychic!
You may recall when the “Waiting Sucks” promo’s started to air, we were going to have a “pre-season” by predicting who might be the focus of the promo. Of course it was cut short, when HBO shared when each promo would be available online and on demand. We were bummed.. but this means we are well rested for some down and dirty trash talking!
With True Blood Season 5 premiering this Sunday, its time to lock our predictions on what each of us think might happen!
Here is how this game will work:
- Each of us will lock in 3 predictions to be posted the Friday before the show airs.
- For each correct answer 5 points will be rewarded. If the prediction is close but not quite their partial credit will be awarded with 3 points. If we were dead wrong… well… *mimics the Soup Nazis voice* NO POINTS FOR YOU.
We will let you know how we’re doing as we go along. The winner at the end of the season gets bragging rights for being able to predict the future! It’s time to get our fangs wet, let the games begin

Erika:
- Pam turns Tara
- Sookie won’t tell Alcide about Debbie
- Steve Newlin will be gay
Nymerias:
- Pam turns Tara
- Steve was turned by Russell
- I cannot even think Sookie gets the deed back
Evie:
- Pam turns Tara
- Eric will outshine everyone he is on screen with
- Pam will have the great line of the episode.
B:
- Pam will turn Tara.
- Laffy will drop the “F” bomb around 30 times
- The Vamp story line will have more screen time then the Were related one.
I am sensing a theme with “turning of Tara” pick

What the hell was the third one of mine all about? I think I meant to say that Sookie won’t be getting her deed back but then I remembered thinking maybe Pam would bring it to her per Eric’s order. But since I have NFI what I meant I will just go with she won’t get it back!! lol I must have been tired when I typed that!

I forgot about Nan after she was staked but I can see her turning him and then leaving him high and dry, if Newlin was telling the truth about that part

3. Jessica arrives to save Jason from Steve Newlin’s advances

Luvvamps, I agree with you all the way they will always try to make Eric look bad and Bill will always be shown as mr perfect.
Yeah, but they really suck at it. I don’t need to make predictions, everyone else pretty much already has mine covered.

2. Jason might drink some of Rev Newlins blood somehow, forced maybe, and have kinky gay dreams.

I’ll play. I just read a tidbit on the People website that confirms the following theory I’ve had for a while:
1. Tara will be turned (probly by Pam), but she won’t be right, because part of her brain is missing… she’ll be a slow vamp, a la Bubba (vampire zombie?).
2. Russell will become allies with Bill and Eric against the Authority.
3. Sookie will have a hot Eric dream within the first few eps.
You’re right, she’s probably totally supposed to take the place of Bubba. Ugh, I’d rather them just find an Elvis lookalike to play the part.
Part of the appeal of Bubba is that he is Elvis, not just a vampire who isn’t right. True Blood already has Beehl if all we wanted was a dimwitted vampire.
