HBO have today released two new clips from episode 2, airing this Sunday, and titled “Authority Always Wins”. And from the first clip it looks like they are certainly victorious, for the moment at least, as Eric, Bill and Nora arrive at the Authority headquarters and it doesn’t look like they are there for a tea-party.
I have only 4 words after watching that video – Eric Northman in handcuffs.
In the second video clip, the newly re-born Tara in causing havoc in poor Sookie’s kitchen. Obviously she doesn’t care that Sookie and Laffayette just spent the whole day cleaning it up!
I don’t think poor Laffy is too keen to try to sort out his wayward cousin on this occasion.
I really, really can’t wait to see what happens with the Vampire Tara.
And don’t forget we are going to see what went down when Eric first met Pam as well this weekend. God damn it, is it Sunday already?

WOW. I agree with you Evie, isn’t it Sunday yet????? The first clip with Eric the look on his face is something I’ve never seen from him before, which is apprehension, doubt and a little bit of fear mixed in. Fantastic!!!!!!
The Tara clip was quite good too. Although I was a bit miffed that Laffy was scared of Tara and it was his idea to have her turned…..LOL

The Laffy/Sookie clip reminded me of watching a new pet getting adjusted to their new home. Then you have to figure out a way to get close enough to them to feed them or make them feel more comfortable. LOL I somehow don’t think Tara will purr like my cats though! Haha.
Eric looks hot in the first clip! ♥ That jail looks pretty ritzy for a jail for bad vampires though. Makes me think the Authority is very, very rich!

Sookie’s kitchen has been through so much…lol! Yeah, they’re really gonna regret that decision. Poor Lafayette looks like he’s going to his execution, hopefully that’s not the case.
So it looks like Pam left them with Tara – probably with a cool one liner – but I am a bit sad that she would abandon her child like that, don’t want her to be a bad maker
Even Bill managed one evening with Jess before dumping her with Eric. Think that Sookie will go to Pam to ask for help and hence that scene between them fighting

Maybe Sookie & Laffy want to manage Tara themselves and said they don’t need Pam’s help. That’s what I’m hoping. I agree that Sookie will end up going to Pam for help and I think Pam and Tara will form a bond in the end
This is what I think too…I don’t think Pam would just leave Tara to Sookie and Lafayette (two humans she has little respect for and worked out a deal with) without their insistence they can handle it.
That’s what I’m afraid of, I don’t want Pam to have a bond with Tara. I’m still hoping she’ll get staked by the end of the season, probably the worst thing they could have done was make her a vampire.
I actually disagree with this to a certain extent. I hated Tara and was getting sick of hearing her complaining all the time. This could be good for her character.
Here’s why…
You know on TVD and how annoying Caroline was before she got turned? After that she became more interesting and less annoying, IMO. She became one of the more popular characters and developed a strong fanbase. And there was as many heated debates over who should she choose this past season because she was caught between Tyler and Klaus in a romantic triangle. I think this could be similar…if the writers don’t screw it up. But that’s a big IF. I’m not going to hold my breath.
If this doesn’t turn out the way it should…then yeah, they should’ve just killed her off. LOL
True, I liked Caroline a lot more when she became a vampire, but Tara is not the same situation. I never really liked her to begin with, and she seems like she’s going to be even crazier than usual. Plus, I don’t have much hope with these writers, guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
But I also agree Pam shouldn’t be her maker. Lol But I wouldn’t want anyone else to be her maker either, except for Bill. Because he should be punished for still being around and not in Peru! Lol
It sucks that the first person Pam ever turned is someone she hates, but I want her to at least take responsibility and be a good maker. We don’t need another Bill.
Didn’t Pam reply to Sookies ”This will work, right?” something like ”Didn’t really work out well the first time(s)…”
And when Sookie was petting Tara’s head thinking it didn’t work, Pam made a sort of a sad sigh

the bromance stuff just makes me cringe all the time, its like the writers don’t care at all about what happened the seasons before… Eric being so nice towards bill just so horrible…
The only thing wrong with Eric in handcuffs is…….. HE STILL HAS HIS SHIRT ON!

Can anyone help me with a thing or two i remembered from season 3:
Beehls voice sounded just like eric’s when he stole eric’s phone while trying to “kill” him in the concrete – how was he able to do that? was that ever explained or i missed out on that one?
Oh and remember when Godric was on the roof wanting to meet the true death he said to sookie that at his age it wouldn’t take much time and russel burned like 2 hours outhere i know he had sookie’s blood but the effect doesn’t last that long as we’ve seen and since russel is 3000 years old he stayed outhere for kinda too long don’t you think?
And he’s not supposed to have one fang when he appears cause eric kicked him at fangtasia and it fell out and in season one while dear beehl was in trial we were told that it takes like 5 years (if i’m remembering correctly) to grow another fang- magister said that while giving that punishment someone, am i right?
Most of your questions haven’t been fully explained, but this is what we do know.
The older the vampire is, the faster he burns up. Russell (if you remember) did drink Sookie’s blood. He didn’t die, but since he is so much older than Eric, he definitely looked worse than Eric did when they were out in the sun. As for his tooth, we’ll have to see. They might show him with one tooth this season.
I wish I could help you with the rest, but those questions haven’t been answered yet. I’m not even sure if TB remembers their own mythology from one year to the next, so I don’t think they will ever answer those questions.
