About nymerias

I am an avid book reader and when I am not writing for this blog, that is what I am doing. I love Boardwalk Empire, Game of Thrones, Big Bang Theory, Criminal Minds, Blue Bloods and many other shows. I am a big lover of the Sookieverse, mainly the book series. I also enjoy the books classics and legal thrillers. Contrary to popular opinion, I don't hate True Blood, I am just not has fond of the show was I once was. I guess you could say that we have had major disagreement and it won't be resolved any time soon.

  1. Can someone tell me why (as in the last one with Anna), do they always go back to “Beehl was her first love”? So what. I’m so sick of the Beehl and Sookie show.

  2. ”Beehl was her first love, and Eric…well he was a wonderful *addition* to that.” EXCUSE ME? Eric was just an *addition*?… I’m lost for words, that’s what I am, I just feel like flashing a finger to most of these people these days :S

It really feels like Eric has officialy been put aside, even Alcide- the boring annoying Alcide- has more of a chance with her now. Well, I don’t even want Eric with her anymore, he deserves some nice, sweet sexy girl who will adore him and be loyal to just him, that’s just my opinion.

About last nights episode: it was really really boring, and I think it’s one that leads up to all the quick action now, like being on a rollercoaster ride when you slowly go up, and then the crazy drop comes. I hope so, at least. Is it just me or do you guys think beehl is in on stuff, in bad stuff? :P (would love it if he is the bad guy of course, but barely dare to hope on it) I’m glad to see Roman go, sorry he was a total snooze…
Sookie walking around like Tara used to do – wildly flailing her arms like a kid when she walks in the field and in Merlotte’s- just got me eyerolling, don’t know why it annoys me so much lol. Siiiiiigh, I don’t know what to think anymore, just that Eric deserves better than Sookie right about now, who practically hates him again minus the sexual tension of season 1,2,3.

  3. The thing about it ….if you just watch this episode alone you see how Eric is so much of a better vampire than Bill …..we are not talking about looks which is obvious but he has a dignity that bill will never have, Bill kisses ass which Eric will never do, Eric is truthful to Roman about caring for one human (sookie) but as long as human dont mess with his business he is a pacifist, Bill is saying whatever he thinks Roman wants to hear. Eric is truthful about Nora being his sister when it might have been in his best interests to never reveal that fact.
I don’t believe that trailer showing Bill biting Sookie is not a dream, I think Sookie is stupid enough to be having sex with him and he is evil and would be on a blood lust and she would be in trouble dealing with a crazed Bill…..unfortunately sookie needs that to happen to realized that Bill is not good for her and I do believe he also probably killed her parents too. Hopefully these events will move her towards Eric next season because if they think the ratings are down this season, just wait to how low they will become if her and Bill are back together …..people will stop watching true blood period.

  4. I think Bill biting Sookie is part of me losing is humanity so to speak, I think he just shows up in her room while shes sleep and bites her, but I guess we will see. and I am sure Bill didn’t kill her parents there is no way Alen Ball is going to leave the show like that so Sookie writes Bill off forever. Its either russel(because hes been gone along time) Eric because they would just love to ruin that for us or some vamp we haven’t met yet

  5. they always have to make this show about Bill and Sookie, really? And Eric is just the addition to Sookies first love or what? Great, says a lot about what the writers are thinking, ball is doing the final and it will probably be some big sookie and bill final. Not a single season without bill and sookie, also the eric sookie scenes in season 4 got constantly tainted by bills presence. I think these things, also the bill and sookeh scene in this episode are all little hints for the bill sookie endgame the writers have in their mind. episode 6, and not a single eric sookie scenes, besides sharing a few glances nothing. while bill always gets his stupid love confession towards sookie. its like the writers want to force everyone to worship this couple. Hate it.

  6. Why does Bill get to say goodbye to Sookie and have that last moment with her and Eric doesn’t- he basically told her they were gonna die and she didn’t even try to say anything to Eric…
I’m really more tired than ever of all of this, her undying love for Bill, all that first love crap, the fact that Eric is always pushed aside when there’s Bill around, Bill gets Salome’s kiss(in the cheek), long eye contact and congrats from Roman and all those little things that drive me crazy…
And as you say Laura- somehow there’s always a way for Bill to express his stupid “love” and let everyone know how deep his fu**ing love goes, but the thing is: more they try to make him look “good” – the more i hate him!

  7. I also thought it’s bullsh*t that beehl got to say ”goodbye” to Sookie from both of them, but Eric didn’t get to say anything…pissed me OFF! And Sookie not giving a sh*t…what the hell is all that about?

beehl is definitely up to something, he really didn’t want Eric to stake a very dangerous old Russel, and it’s like he knew the Authority guys were supposed to come in, which was not the plan as we know. Salome kissed beehl on the cheek and congratulated him most, same for Roman… I mean, something’s going on, beehl is on the side of the Authority, and I think now Russel staked Roman there will be a sudden shift and probably some sort of a takeover (more Authority vamps will be staked swiftly, probably by Russel and Salome next episode).

  8. I think you are all going to be rewarded by the writers for hanging in thru the Beel hypocrisy for so long. He is about to be made the villian. I’m convinced of it. Did you see the look he and Salome exchanged when she kissed him? How he stopped Eric from killing Russell? How much he resembled the vamp on the bridge? And Ball has been teasing for a while, someone who is good will turn out to be bad. It’s Bill.

I just realized my real problem w/ Bill and Sookie on the show after watching the above videos..It’s Anna Paquin’s acting. She is more committed and puts everything she has into her scenes w/ Stephen Moyer, but she holds back w/ everybody else. I think that’s a deliberate choice on HER part, not necessarily the writers. Her personal preference shines thru in her acting.

I first thought that in her multiple love scenes w/ Eric in season 4, felt like she was holding back. I felt the heat more in season 2 dream, strangely…but watching her wax on about her first love and throw Eric in as an after thought–speaks volumes to me.

Or it could be she’s also setting up fans for a bigger fall when Bill’s feet of clay are fully revealed to ALL this season. I can’t wait to say I told you so. Every episode this season has dropped hints that it’s coming. And boy am I ready!!!

I don’t care as much about Eric and Sookie as much as I want Bill to have consequences for all the bs he’s gotten away with for 5 seasons.

    • I think actually because it would be too obvious and predictable if its really bill, have seen a lot of people guessing this but I just don’t think they will do it. That would just anger the few Bill fans out there and the writers always want to please them, even after the rat reveal, like just the next season after it sookie was constantly running into bills arms.

      • Honestly, nothing TB does surprises me. I wouldn’t be surprised if they write something fans have been speculating about for a long time. They’ve done it before, they’ll do it again. Sometimes, they just aren’t original enough to make it up for themselves. I bet they visit fansites checking out what people are posting…so they can steal our ideas. LOL

Besides, since when has TB written something just to please the fans? If you’re thinking of the shower scene last season…then that ended up being the exact opposite. The only thing we can guarantee about the show is that a) they will try to be as shocking as possible. b) they will keep dragging the “teams” thing out. LOL

        • I think they are actually only the Bill sites, these two big and influential ones and think that is what everyone is thinking about the show lol. I cannot understand it otherwise why there is always so much bill on the show. Or they just don’t care for fan opinions, because I doubt that lots of people do have any interest in Terrys extremely boring storyline lol

          • judging from fan reactions on Twitter…I think they know what the fans want, but ignore us because they think what they write is better. LOL I’ve heard many people complaining about Terry’s storyline, addressing their tweets right to TB. They have a huge ego problem, I think.

          • And I don’t know where they visit…but I do know they’ve “stolen” ideas before from sites that are different than those two big TB sites. ;)

    • Kristen, I have to agree with you about AP’s acting being uneven depending on who her scenes are with. I really don’t like to go to the personal aspects of this thing but it really is pretty glaring. This was the 1st episode this season that I looked forward to and watched on 1st showing. It was the best one so far but there were those cringeworthy moments that took away from the good stuff. Eric shone like a beacon in all his scenes, as always. Loved the glamoring of Alcide and knew Sookie would catch it. It was funny! Loved Eric staying true to himself even under extreme pressure (threat of death), unlike Bill who has shown time and time again that he goes whichever way the wind blows and doesn’t seem to have any particular loyalties, other than to his own ambitions. Very slimy character and it becomes more evident as we go along. I feel like I lose brain cells right along with Sookie everytime I have to endure one of her and Bill’s syrupy scenes of undying love and devotion. It has become very stale, very unsurprising and very, very BORING! Why on earth does every other couple, character, storyline need to be shaken up but this one keeps getting replayed, and replayed, and replayed, and replayed……..well you get the point.

  9. Because sadly, Sookie’s sucking up to Bill has made me question if she’s even good enough for Eric. Though she’s been better this season than the last 3. I think they want to drop Sookie off a bigger cliff for dramatic effect…this is the guy you put above all others, trusted, forgave, kissed his ass–and you vilified the one who really trusted you, took a chance, evolved, made himself vulnerable and really risked his life for you–none of it good enough….so that could be Sookie’s arc–feeling as stupid and used as we all think she’s been. Finally getting a clue and growing up.

Having said all this, I do understand how many of you have lost faith in where it’s all going.

    • Kristen, I am hoping everything you have pointed out will happen …most of us just don’t believe that Alan Ball will ever do it to Bill ……Bill can’t compare to Eric on any level and his popularity grows every season but Sookie is stupid and doesnt see the truth about Bill and probably never will which is unfortunate…..bill will Dang rape and maybe rape her overall ……we will see what they write but i am hoping sookie gets a clue but i dont have faith in it anymore I hope you can tell all of you told us so.

      • Sorry I meant to say telling all of us that you told us so about how bad bill is finally coming out!

      • I hear ya, I do—but here’s my best argument—WHY have they shown us Bill this way? All these manipulations, murders, lies and then say he’s good. Then they show us how tender, compassionate, loving, and downright human Eric is under his bluster–but then tell us he’s bad….I believe this is deliberate and they are expecting the audience to be smarter and less gullible than dear Sookie.

If they wanted to make Bill the hero, they would. He wouldn’t do this deviant stuff–even as late as the last episodes where he was pissed that Sookie was w/ Alcide and announces they will use her and put her in danger–but to her face says, wait outside and hold my hand, oh aren’t I the chivalrous gentlemen?

Someone else posted that it would be too obvious to make Bill the villian–but that’s only obvious to some of us…there are fans who, like Sookie, want to believe everything he says while ignoring what he does. They are in for a rude shock.

I was so thrilled w/ Eric in this last episode because–AGAIN–the show subtly revealed his true heart, especially when he talked to Roman. The dichotomy b/w the characters is rich and revealing. Bill and Eric are yin/yang.

Is Ball really so in love w/ Bill? If that’s how you love a character, I prefer the way he showcases Eric….rooftop w/ Godric, so gently w/ Sookie (no rough biting), anything w/ Pam, etc. etc. etc. I don’t think he makes Bill look good at all. He shows something like the 1905 flashback and then tells me–Bill’s really a “good man”….not buying it!

I guess time will tell, but the way they are building Eric’s character, emotions, motivations–I’m very hopeful about where it’s all going. If we have another season finale like last year, at least I won’t mind the 9 month break again….but I think they have read the writing on the wall and they are acknowledging that Alexander is the break out star of the show and it would be foolish not to go there.

        • well you can have your hopes, but I think it just won’t happen, I just don’t have the confidence in these writers and even if bill turns out bad, season 6 would be probably all about bill going back on track with the help of Eric and Sookie *eyeroll*. And I just don’t think the writers are that “smart”, most of the season finals have not been that shocking like they always want to tell everyone.

          • I see your point totally, especially based on previous season and no Karma payback for Bill–ever, really…but then again, how many seasons do they have left? Maybe 2 or 3 tops? Maybe they are finally ready to take some big chances like this–or kill a major character or something! Sure, they could do what they’ve always done w/ Bill, but why would they keep making the case that he really isn’t what he appears to be? Building our frustration w/ each hypocritical act….again they don’t have to show his dark side….if you were right–wouldn’t they have Eric suggest they use Sookie in ep 4 when they see her making out w/ alcide? He’s the one that wants to just leave!

I guess I shouldn’t get any Eric fans hopes up, but for me it’s just where it’s all leading and has been since the Bill reveals started in season 2. I just wonder if it makes sense to anybody else.

For what it’s worth, I do think the fans have power and use it. For a couple of seasons, Alexander wasn’t even a main star of the show on the credits. Now he regularly gets the best lines and shows the most depth, courage, and even honesty.

I understand at face value, Bill gets all the bs sookie moments it seems, but would you agree that they make Eric’s character much more appealing to the audience than they do Bill?

          • yes. they always give all the *oh sookie I care so much for you” parts to bill and thats why there are also lot of people (casual viewers or just those BLs) think that bill and sookie will get together at the end and that bill has such a good heart *eyeroll* (didn’t even salome say this crap?). Nah, the writers don’t throw in this and than turn beehl into the bad guy.
I think I am just mad because I watched a review of the episode today from the buzz (their reeview videos are also on youtube) and that one woman there was saying that she hopes it will be bill and sookie at the end, and I thought she was actually into bill, I really don’t get it, it seems the writers achieve their goal with all this bill glorifying and showing his humanitaahh and his love for sookie *eyeroll*

          • Holy crap, Laura, that is scary to me that people buy into that. I don’t even get how it’s a triangle. He’s actually abused Sookie. Couldn’t agree more about eyerolling!! Honestly, it makes me wonder what these ladies consider a good catch in real life too? Yikes. Reminds me of people who think the kardashians have talent. Or that Jessica Simpson should sing. I guess it’d be a boring world if we all had good taste. :)

If they are showing Bill delighting in torturing people he’s slowly murdering, having Sookie beaten, then nearly killing her himself, etc. etc and there’s absolutely no point to it, w/ no plot direction or character development–then this is not the creator and writer of Six Feet Under and American Beauty that I knew and admired.

You have every reason to have no faith based on last season finale alone. But the writers sure heard about it from critics and fans alike. At least we all have each other here!

          • who the hell is doing all these dislikes? go away BLs!!!

          • I don’t think it matters Laura. it is no big deal

    • I agree with you, Kristen! I think that Sookie is starting to wise up and get a clue. It’s taking awhile to get there, but I can see it. They will want whatever happens to have the most greatest effect on her. And everyone says that nobody will ever be completely happy on the show because then the viewers will lose interest. They will drag everything out for as long as possible.

I think the scenes they showed in the Comic Con trailer are very misleading, because they show Bill biting Sookie…something Eric hasn’t done. At least, where she’s screaming for help. I guess we’ll have to wait and see…until then I wouldn’t worry about it because they do this purposely to make us tune in to watch how it happens or not.

      • And I wouldn’t be surprised if all of this stuff with Bill is just a red herring to throw us off track. They want us to react just this way because even Bill and Sookie gets people talking (and bitching), even though it’s obvious who the fan favorite really is.

      • well maybe this biting scene is sookie having a nightmare getting bitten by the guy who killed her parents. You only see the back of the guy and like you said the trailer is probably misleading, it might be some unknown vampire.

        • That vampire who killed their parents looks like Russel to me (btw i’m totally sure he’s Salome’s maker)…

And as much as i would love to believe that B/S in the bed thing is a dream, i’m afraid Sookie was stupid enough to actually do it again with that thing (Beehl)… But i’m secretly hoping that Eric’s gonna save her from that “attempt of a vampire” when he goes crazy in that *throwing him onto the fireplace* style :-)

though than he would see them… together… naked… ewwwwwwwww maybe that’s not a good thing to wish for…

  10. I am slowly losing hope for this show . I love Alex and wish him nothing but the best . I think a blind man or woman will know who is the better vampire and it is not Beehl . Eric should move on . Sookie looks and makes it seem like beehl is better than Eric that will never be . I remember Alan Ball say Sookie was gonna be on a independent streak this season all we see is her still crying and going behind beehl like a little insecure b**ch . Eric is strong no time for weak people . He did everything for her to show he loves her and this is what he gets . Has anyone notice that Beehl parts are Eric parts in the books and Eric parts are Beehl parts they reversed the parts Beehl ? He is not a hero to me he is a zero . He wish he was Eric . Just like last night Sookie forget about me and he had to throw Eric name in as well . Alan Ball or Mark Huddis need to get with the program . Did they read the books to see how the story lines should go ? The books are brillant to me wish it was more like that . He doesn’t even care that the fans love Eric with Sookie . That is tv suicide to me . True blood ratings are not like they used to be and that is sad . We are now watching The Sookie & Beehl Compton novels. Ever since Anna & Stephen been together True Blood has pushing The Bill & Sookie show on us left & right . They have each other in real life give us Eric & Sookie on True Blood . TB probably lucky to get a season 6 . I will support whatever Alexander does he deserves better than this .

  11. At Comic Con Ball said True Blood had a sixth year and probably a seventh. In my opinion not if it stays the Beehl and Sookie show. God I wish they would wake up and see what the fans want, and it’s not Beehl and Sookie.
Another question I wonder why when asked What was their favorite scene from any season, Anna answered episode 12 from this season? I’ll bet it’s because she gets back with Beehl!

  12. I think Anna favorite episode 12 is because that is Alan Ball last time writing for the show . I know it would be my favorite as well especially if you enjoyed working and seeing him / her all the time on set and then things change . He will not be writing for the show next season so i think it means a great deal to her .
