Bloody Predictions: Week 8

With 5 episodes to go this season, the competition is heating up between Erika, Nymerias, Evie, and I in our little… game. With as tight as the points race has become through 7 weeks of predictions, we have decided to up the anti a bit by requiring more specific (detailed) predictions. This should make it easier for me to assign point values each week. Ahem.

Speaking of point values… It has been an interesting week with my ESL blogmates. There has been a challenge to the Week 6 scoring by both Erika and Nymerias. I had awarded full points to Erika for her prediction “Eric will save Sookie from Russell, when Russell tries to bite her”. I had also awarded Nymerias full points for her prediction “The Authority’s men in black will show up before Russell gets a chance to take a bite out of Sookie”. I believe that Nymerias should be given full points based on the verbiage of the prediction. On Erika’s, I was a bit on the fence but awarded full points because I felt technically she was right, Eric did come in and took over Russell before he could try to get a Sookie snack again (after Sookie zapped him the first time. Thus saving herself). Erika and Nymerias both feel that they were awarded points unfairly and are asking for a challenge to make sure points are awarded correctly.

*crickets*

In other words, we are looking to you our faithful friends to help keep us straight. What do you think? How should Nymerias and Erika be scored?  Please vote in our Challenges below!

In week 7 scoring news, here is how we did with predicting “In the Beginning”

Nymerias picks up 13 points just missing out on her first prediction for full points. We never learned if not having them would harm her… just make her non fae.

Evie is getting full points at the moment, though there may be a challenge on the Eric/Russell one in the future. And can I say its great that Nora is off of her knees.

I, B, successfully won my challenge last week and will be awarded full points from week 6. For week 7, I will be getting 8 points. I was off on Eric will get away from Russell. And like Nymerias, we are not sure if the draining of her fae powers is harmful or not.

Erika is only gaining 5 points from “In the Beginning” She was spot on with her Salome prediction, though we did not learn anymore on the deaths of the Stackhouse parents. And Russell did not disappear after tangling with Eric.

Now, with 2 challenges in play… here is how we are currently ranked:

Evie = 89

B = 81

Erika = 73*

Nymerias = 68*

It is still anyone’s game. Let’s lock in our predictions for “Someone I used to Know”

B:

  • Sookie, Jason, and the Faeries will try to view the moment Sookie and Jason’s parents died
  • Eric will show Nora tough love to try to break the “power” of Lilith’s blood over her
  • This shifter killer who works in the hospital will be attacked by a cobra, which is Luna

Erika:

  •  Russell and Steve will take part in a wild sex scene.
  • Eric won’t be able to save Nora, as per Godric’s wishes.
  • Alcide will win as pack leader.

Nymerias:

  • La La will channel the Iraqi woman Terry killed in the war to figure out the curse.
  • Sookie, Jason and the fairy odd people will attempt to find out who killed their parents and we will see that Sookie was in the car.
  • Bill will take a bite out of the woman in the bed at the Authority.

Evie:

  • The stupid Terry storyline will conclude (hopefully)
  • The hate gang will kidnap Jessica.
  • Bill will become Sanguinista

Sooooo, what do you think? Sound off below!

About B

Really, there is never enough Eric... I'm loyal to the Viking, no matter what. I will love him whether in Book, Show, and just because... my first thoughts are of him and I close my eyes to dream of him. As far as I'm concerned, the night can not get here soon enough.

  1. All of your predictions seem reasonable. I’ve been having this running thru my head for a few weeks now and just want to say it “aloud”. I truly believe that Bill is/has been a Sanguinista all along. Look back at all the carnage that he and Lorena did back in the 30′s killing/eating all those people. That sure wasn’t mainstreaming back then. I think the whole mainstreaming thing with Bill was so that he could get next to Sookie without scaring her off. I say that Bill was always the “bad egg” from day one.

    I can’t wait til tomorrow nite to see what happens next.

    • I like it… Plus I’ll add that bill likes being among the “cool” kids. He did not like how everyone kept cutting him off to talk to Eric, so he will do what ever to fit in.

    • I’m with you all the way! I think they have been dropping hints for a long time now. I think tonight is the beginning of the TRUE, big RAT reveal—if Sookie can avoid a dose of his blood, even she may uncross her eyes long enough to see it–but I believe that finally, ALL the audience will be left w/ no doubt.

      The only humanity about Bill is his unexpected obsession w/ Sookie. He surprised himself in what he could feel and do, but now that he’s lost her, all the disguises are going to crash down…..I think.

      Can’t wait to watch and find out and it’s more than I could hope for that it appears Eric is the ultimate main streamer–how ironic and wonderful!

  2. I see all the predictions happening this week except the end of the Terry and the fire monster ending. They will drag the one out til the very end and Patrick gets burned!

  3. I too think that Terry’s, Alcide’s, the hate group and lala’s storylines will stick around until the end, or like till episode 10-11 at least..as always, with these crap filler storylines.

  4. I think that Salome was involved in the release of Russell was a given. That was very thinly veiled plot and was obvious all along, I think. I think LaLa channeling the Iraqi woman would be a great way to put a stake in the plot line, and shove Terry and Arlene to back burner..they are great as background story, but not impressed with them thus far. Obviously, Alcide will win the challenge, but I’m betting his “second” will end up being Marcus’s mother…it’s in the best interest of her granddaughter, Emma, the adorable baby wolf! And my thought on being a shifter and vigilante justice: why go to the sheriff at all? If you can smell them, you can take them out and it’s not like anyone will ever know that the snake, poisonous spider, or rabid dog that attacked the Obama mask wearing hater will ever be caught. What’s wrong with your thinking, Sam? Snap out of it!

  5. Alcide has a second in command already – that pissed off brunette? Who, I saw in the comic con trailer Alcide will f**k. Honesty nobody cares who Alcide humps, as long it’s not Sookie… Pure waste of air time.

    • Yeah, he’s got the pissed off brunette, but it wouldn’t surprise me to see …(whats her name..? Martha??) Marcus’s mother intercede and overrule the brunette. If werewolves behave like true wolves, and that’s what they are telling us, there is an alpha female as well. Since Marcus was single (Luna doesn’t count…she’s shifter not wolf) the alpha female would be the pack matriarch … the mother. And she was clearly more pissed off about her husband trying to give her granddaughter V than the natural fate of heritage alpha werewolf son. Alpha wolves are, inevitably, beaten up or killed by another alpha who wants control of the pack. If they are gonna go so far as make the pack canibalistic, they may as well stick with true wolf behavior. That’s just my thoughts, but then I.do have way too much time on my hands.

      • Hate the auto correct on my phone. I meant to say “fate of HER son” but apparently my phone has it’s own ideas.

  6. So tonights episode….not my favorite but definitely better than last weeks. How will Eric get out of the authority alive? And the blood bath that’s supposedly coming is going to be a show down of sorts between the Sanguinistas and Eric’s team …how they will end up saving all the key players is beyond me….

    • I have NO idea…but I’m sure that the Viking is full of ideas. I predict he will save everyone. ;)

      BTW, I really sucked this week. I think I got only one right… :(
