It’s hard to believe this is the final chapter of Deborah’s Eric & Sookie fanfic, “The Dark Queen”. Forgive me, if I sound like a big, slobbering baby…but I’m very sad to see this story come to an end. Waaaaah!

We hope you’ve enjoyed it as much as we have! We were very excited to make it “yours” – due to the fact you could cast your votes to decide what happened next in the story! But as with all good things…it MUST come to an end. We hope you enjoy this final chapter!

Be warned…this is a LOOOOOONG chapter, but it’s all…SO GOOD! It has it ALL!

The Dark Queen – Chapter 11

It is with great sadness and disappointment…we inform you there will only be 12 chapters in this story…this is the last time you will be able to vote to decide what happens next…and the second to last time you will be reading The Dark Queen (unless you re-read the chapters we’ve posted on here of course).

YES! Unfortunately, this exciting story will soon end.

Deborah told us that this story will soon be over because she needs to concentrate on writing her Elvin Trilogy. We hope you will understand, and appreciate her taking the time to write this story for us! She told us that she will keep her mind open for new inspirations to write another one in the future! She even offered to write a guest post from time to time, and we’re thinking of taking her up on the offer! But as with all good things…they must come to an end!

Yes, we’re feeling a choked up as well. The good news is that this chapter is a very interesting and exciting one! Eric is still searching for Sookie, but finds out some interesting things about Gervais.

in the SVM/TB Fanfic Fandom

Since January 2011 the Fangreaders (http://fangreaders.blogspot.com/) have been chatting about and sharing their favourite SVM/TB fanfiction stories. What started with a few enthusiasts has grown into a community of over 200 fanfic readers and writers, stretching over several time-zones – and we just keep getting bigger and bigger! New members are signing up every week to take part in our online discussions in the Fangreaders chat room, the Fangreaders Chatroom Central blog site, Fang_Readers Community on LiveJournal, and the Caffe Trieste forum.

You may have heard of a previous Fangreader organised event – The Lemon Tart Awards. This event celebrated the sassy and sexy side of fanfiction. But this time we want to go all the way – Oscars Style! In celebration of 12 wonderful months of meeting new people and making new friends – the community is bringing you ‘The Fangreader Awards’. On January the 8th, Fangreaders submitted their nominations for their most loved fanfics in ten different categories. Comedy, Romance, All Human, Angst, One-shots, series and more will be included in this event to celebrate excellence in writing and honour those who have captivated us with their plots, amused us with their banter and made our hearts flutter with excitement when they provide us with an update.

Although the Fangreaders nominated the stories for these awards –

voting is open to the entire SVM/TB fandom.

That’s right – you don’t need to be a Fangreader for your voice to be heard!

The public vote opened on Sunday 15th January 2012 and the ballot will close on 19th February 2012 11.59pm GMT. That leaves you plenty of time to catch up and read any of the stories nominated that you might have missed. Remember – you can only vote ONCE – and the goal of the Fangies is to award excellence in writing and not just be another popularity contest.

Hehehe…I won’t give you any hints, but let’s just say that Eric and Sookie take the next step in their investigation and it leads them…where exactly? I’m not going to tell you…you’ll have to read to find out!

SURPRISE!

It may have taken Deborah longer than she had counted on to write the next chapter in her Eric & Sookie fanfic, The Dark Queen – due to illness and New Year’s Eve – though neither one was related to each other (that we know of). Sure, Deborah, sure…me thinks you took holiday celebrating a little bit too far! ;)

Never fear Deborah hasn’t forgotten about you or this story! Well, maybe you should fear…because we can tell you right now…something is brewing in New Orleans, and it’s not coffee! I’m on the edge of my seat and I’m sure you will be too after you read this chapter!

Our good friends over at the Giggle/Snort Files would like us to pass along this message to you! They would love to see many Christmas themed Eric and Sookie fanfictions as we can send – that tickle our funny bone!

This is what they need:

For the first time on Giggle/Snort Files, this year we will be having our own ’12 Days of Christmas’.

Just wanted to give you the latest update on the sequel to Deborah Court’s Eric & Sookie fanfic called, “Piece of Glass”!

First of all…check out the banner/cover of it here! –>> What do you think?

Secondly, this will be the first ever interactive Eric & Sookie story (we think)! What do we mean by this? Deborah thought it would be a great idea to have YOU decide which way the story will go! At the end of each chapter, there will be a poll question with a list of options on what happens next in the story! You will have 24 hours to cast your vote from the time chapter is posted – to make your selection! Deborah will review the results and then write the story accordingly!

Sounds exciting, interesting…etc.? We hope so!

As for when we will start posting, “The Dark Queen”…you will have to follow us on our Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr pages or subscribe to us on here!  But we promise you…it will be soon!

What will the story be about? Here is the summary Deborah sent us!

Eric and Sookie fly back from Öland because there was a gruesome ritual murder at Fangtasia. Eric decides to investigate the murder, which leads him to New Orleans where similar murders have happened. When he vanishes without a trace, Sookie follows him, getting involved in the dark voodoo scene. Marie Laveau, the voodoo queen of New Orleans, has risen from the dead and wants to regain her powers … maybe kidnapping a particularly old and strong vampire could help her cause, and eating his heart would help even more? Maybe she even voodoo’s him into being a dark sorcerer at her side…?

We can’t wait to begin posting this story! It promises to be just as entertaining as its’ predecessor!

Yes, we’re disappointed too, but as they say… “All good things must come to an end…”
