In honor of Valentine’s Day, Zap2it is celebrating some of the greatest loves on television. They want to know who TV’s Most Crushworthy are, starting with the Most Crushworthy Supernatural Creatures.

Eric Northman is the only guy to be nominated in this poll from True Blood! Hehehe. You don’t know how happy this makes me, because there’s SO many other supernatural male characters on True Blood! I guess this means they think both Bill and Alcide SUCK?! Hahahahaha…
Jessica Hamby is the only girl to be nominated in the poll from True Blood. Wait a minute…why isn’t Pam on there? WTF?

We have an uphill battle to climb, because Eric is up against both Damon Salvatore (The Vampire Diaries) and Castiel (Supernatural), who are in a neck-in-neck race for 1st.

The ridiculously talented Serena - from sookieverseblog and kissedbyfire - has written a great article for HBO Watch about which characters should be dead and gone in True Blood Season 5. As well as giving her good reasons for wishing for each ones demise, there is a poll where you can vote for who you would like to see definitely dead.
Not that we would ever want to influence your decision but here are the very convincing reasons why a certain Mr Compton should be the one to meet his true death.
He is whiney and droll and has been for awhile. But the sheer amount of plot that must be bent to his character on the show, despite the fact he was never represented in the books with such focus, is utterly annoying. Even more annoying is the amount of mythology they fluff over in order to do so. -I’m never getting past the inexplicable death of Sophie Ann! If Bill had been working for the Authority the prior three seasons, why then did he never call them in when he was previously in a life or death situation? What bogus writing just to keep one character relevant, and frankly, shoving him down our throats did not make the show any better. I wish he’d go away on a permanent Peruvian adventure, it just would make all our lives simpler.

That’s quite an achievement, considering this poll is based in the UK!

It’s that time of year again…where E! Online begins their TV’s Top Couples Tournament! As you may recall…due to our tireless voting efforts, we voted Eric & Sookie up to the Final 4 last year!

The Fangreaders Awards Awards in Excellence
in the SVM/TB Fanfic Fandom
Since January 2011 the Fangreaders (http://fangreaders.blogspot.com/) have been chatting about and sharing their favourite SVM/TB fanfiction stories. What started with a few enthusiasts has grown into a community of over 200 fanfic readers and writers, stretching over several time-zones – and we just keep getting bigger and bigger! New members are signing up every week to take part in our online discussions in the Fangreaders chat room, the Fangreaders Chatroom Central blog site, Fang_Readers Community on LiveJournal, and the Caffe Trieste forum.
You may have heard of a previous Fangreader organised event – The Lemon Tart Awards. This event celebrated the sassy and sexy side of fanfiction. But this time we want to go all the way – Oscars Style! In celebration of 12 wonderful months of meeting new people and making new friends – the community is bringing you ‘The Fangreader Awards’. On January the 8th, Fangreaders submitted their nominations for their most loved fanfics in ten different categories. Comedy, Romance, All Human, Angst, One-shots, series and more will be included in this event to celebrate excellence in writing and honour those who have captivated us with their plots, amused us with their banter and made our hearts flutter with excitement when they provide us with an update.
Although the Fangreaders nominated the stories for these awards –
voting is open to the entire SVM/TB fandom.
That’s right – you don’t need to be a Fangreader for your voice to be heard!
The public vote opened on Sunday 15th January 2012 and the ballot will close on 19th February 2012 11.59pm GMT. That leaves you plenty of time to catch up and read any of the stories nominated that you might have missed. Remember – you can only vote ONCE – and the goal of the Fangies is to award excellence in writing and not just be another popularity contest.

It’s the battle of the Males in the 2011 Celebufight Tournament! This is the end of the year tournament to select the 2011 “King” and “Queen” of Celebufight. We’re not shy about our vampire obsession around here. And even as angels and werewolves and dystopian battlefields take over the screens and bookshelves, it doesn’t look like sexy bloodsuckers are going anywhere. Sure, they experience a bit of boom and bust, but a look back at the last 100 years in pop culture proves their undying staying power. In 2011, our blood was stirred by a nice crop of undead seducers, from Eric and Bill on True Blood to Damon and Stefan on The Vampire Diaries to the entire morally upstanding Cullen family…

Deep within the dusty catacombs of the SFX website, entombed in an earth-filled coffin, is a Top 50 Vampires poll.
The poll contains a list of every single vampire that made the Top 50 last time, plus a few more new candidates (most notably from The Vampire Diaries, the US Being Human, Let Me In and the Fright Night remake). You can vote for up to five vampires, and even add your own suggestions!
