NextMovie Talks To Alexander Skarsgard & Peter Berg

Alexander Skarsgard and Peter Berg talked to NextMovie.com about Battleship and True Blood! Good news is, both of these videos should work for everyone!

This is what they said over at NextMovie.com;

Sometimes, we journalists just have to go for the jugular.

So, when we were given the opportunity to have a quick chat with actor Alexander Skarsgard and director Peter Berg as they checked out the Hasbro toys being released in time for their movie, “Battleship,” we had to take it.

After discussing how the “True Blood” star and “Friday Night Lights” director got involved in a movie based on a board game (Berg approached the studio about his love of the Navy and wanting to do an event movie and Skarsgard was in the Swedish Navy and wanted to work with Pete – see their full answer in the video below), we asked the thing on everyone’s mind:

Who would win in an epic battle, the aliens from “Battleship” or the vampires from “True Blood?”

Berg wanted to know the rules – could the vamps be armed? How strong is Eric Northman really? – while Skarsgard contemplated the possibilities.

“If you put one of those guys in a big destroyer, he’ll beat the aliens, right?” Skarsgard offered.

“A vampire in a destroyer? That could be a cool sequel,” Berg suggested before having an epiphany about the similarities between the vamps and the extraterrestrials.

The ultimate answer? The guys decide the vamps and the aliens have much in common and are perhaps a match made in heaven. Romance blossoms. Ships remain afloat.

“Battleship” arrives in theaters May 18.

Alexander Skarsgard Tells MTV Chris Meloni Is Hot

MTV News recently caught up with “Battleship“ director Peter Berg and the film’s leading man Alexander Skarsgård! In the interview, Alex revealed how hot he thinks Chris Meloni is – plus Peter Berg shares the reasons why he cast Alex in “Battleship”!

This is what they said over at MTV…

“I was a fan of ‘True Blood’ [and] all the girls in the office stormed my office and demanded that we cast him,” Peter said of offering the role to the Swede. Of course, with the topic of “True Blood” on the table, I had to ask Alex for any and all hints about the upcoming season, set to debut this summer.

According to the hunk, the cast is currently filming episode four of the fifth season, and if you’ve been following casting announcements, you know a brand-new big-bad will storm Bon Temps this season: “Law & Order: SVU” star Christopher Meloni.

“He’s really, really good,” Alex enthused of new co-star Chris. “And a great guy.” As to whether we’ll be seeing the newbie predominately shirtless, Alex would only say, “Maybe, maybe not,” cheekily adding, “He’s so hot.”

Peter Berg also revealed he cast Alex in Battleship because of the car he drives;

Peter: “…when I met him my son was there. He got out of his Audi R8. That’s my son’s dream car and my son just stood there with his jaw open staring first at him and then at his car.  And he said, ‘Dad, it’s non-negotiable. Alex is in the movie.’”

As usual, Alex is being coy about anything to do with the new season.

Love how the girls in Peter Berg’s office and his son pressured him into casting Alex! Hahaha…

HBO Winter Image Spot

For those of us not lucky enough to have access to HBO, their latest Winter Image Spot is now on You Tube. There are no new clips, just a coming soon for season 5. The bad news is the first image of True Blood we see is ……………………… yes you guessed it – Sookie and Bill. The good news is it is Sookie turning away from Bill, and praise the lord, we hardly get to see Eric in the matching outfit from hell, so be thankful for small mercies. If you hang on until around the 1:13 mark, there is a quick viking treat. (Seriously how can it only take him a second to make me smile all over?) and any promo that has Eric Northman and the Stark boys in to gets a big thumbs up in my house.

New Year’s Sucks: Watch True Blood Season 4 Again

HBO will be re-airing the entire season of True Blood – Season 4, starting Thursday, Dec. 29 until Saturday, Dec. 31 (New Year’s Eve)!

Here’s a video of their advertisement!

So, if your holidays didn’t suck and you want them to… Or if they did, and you want them to suck even more…then feel free to re-watch the season again…

Or, if you want to re-watch the first half of the season…you know, when it was actually good because of all the Eric & Sookie lovin’…then don’t forget to tune in starting on Dec. 29th!

Eric & Sookie: one of the not-so-sucky moments

I’m not sure if I’ll watch the whole season – maybe just the first half, because I just can’t get enough Eric & Sookie Lovin’! At least this time around, we know what’s going to happen and can stop watching when it really begins to suck. Like when Queen Beehl worms his way back into Sookie’s life and Sookie forgives him for something I still don’t understand. Or when Sookie decides to break Eric’s heart for no apparent reason – the list goes on…

It’s completely up to you!

Eric & Sookie: Beauty & The Beast

True Blood Eric & Sookie (Beauty & The Beast Part I) “Prologue”

Making of: One of my favorite films of all time is Disney’s “Beauty & the Beast” and all of the sudden I kept thinking about Eric and Sookie in a Beauty and the Beast like setting. Now granted, Eric is not entirely hideous as a vampire but he can be downright scary when wanting to take a bite out of somebody, yes? So I am going to try to do a sort of Beauty & the Beast series for our favorite Viking and Barmaid. So this series will be loosely based on Disney’s Beauty & The Beast.

For the first part I wanted to try to have the same magical atmosphere in the film that was beautifully and cleverly captured with the use of Stained glass windows.
Since I didn’t have any stained glass windows to use, I decided to go with nice looking location shots from the show to attempt to capture something else.

Also the songs I am going to use for this series may not all be from the Disney Soundtrack. I want to kind of see if I can fit in songs that play to The Beast as well as to Belle outside of the film.

Story: Oh that Eric! He is just encouragibly arrogant isn’t he? I am certainly not implying that Fiona Shaw is old or ugly first of all,The lovely actress is neither of these. Not by a long shot! But the shot works with the story and verse when she turns into Antonia. That shot of her face and what with season 4′s storyline. She just fits the part of the enchantress well. At 1:41 Pam just loves to mock magic doesn’t she? She puts her make up on in the glass of that mirror because she thinks it is great for that. So you all know the original B&B story. This is the start. Comment if you want to see the next part up before Christmas!! Enjoy!!

Hiya fellow Eric and Sookie Lovers!

It’s me, Deborah, your humble writer. First I want to thank you so much again for your incredible comments on “Piece of Glass”, my Eric and Sookie story. I’d like you to know that I read each and every one of them – they mean the world to me and make me smile throughout the whole day. Also, they keep me writing more and more of this story. For a writer, it’s the greatest reward to know that people not only like your work, but that they are actually moved by it; that simple words create a telepathic bond that makes your readers feel, laugh and cry along with you. It’s magic.

Also, I want to give a big THANK YOU to Erika, my friend and owner of this awesome website, who has been so gracious to host my story here on Eric and Sookie Lovers. I’m amazed by how much love and work she devotes to keep us happy with daily TB and E/S news, and in such an entertaining way.

Now to the topic of this guest post. I am a big fan of Eric and Sookie videos on Youtube and love to watch them to bring myself into the right mood before I start to write new chapters. It’s unbelievable how the video makers manage to work with a limited number of E/S scenes and always create something new out of it. It’s not very different from writing; actually, some of these talented video creators are also fanfic writers.

Since I know how much you yearn for your regular Eric and Sookie fix, I’d like to share my (formerly) top secret, own personal Eric and Sookie video playlist with you.
